What clients are saying...
Ms. Jane was the answer to my prayers. As a parent facing dyslexia for the first time, the unknowns were scary. The challenges, questions, and concerns were overwhelming. The resources provided at school seemed inadequate at the time and left me with more questions than answers.
Enter Ms. Jane… Not only has Ms. Jane provided my child with dyslexia intervention, but also has given me the support, information, and guidance I didn’t even know I needed at the time. Ms. Jane’s professionalism and business competence has made being her client effortless. By sharing her vast knowledge of the science and research on dyslexia and reading, she has helped to minimize my concerns and increase my understanding of my daughter’s challenges. But most importantly, she has given my child the gift of reading. During their sessions together, Ms. Jane consistently treats my child with kindness, patience, and respect. She creates fun and interactive lessons using games and other techniques that encourage learning. My child can read and has confidence in her reading ability—two things that were not true before Ms. Jane. I highly recommend Ms. Jane to any parent seeking dyslexia intervention for their child. J. Gable, Parent Ms. Jane is truly the very best out there! Her passion, knowledge, and heartfelt concern for kids struggling with Dyslexia is demonstrated through her tutoring program. We feel beyond blessed to have her working with our two children 1-1, three days per week. Ms. Jane does a fabulous job keeping our children engaged and motivated. She has helped build their confidence in reading and writing. My kids value their time with Ms. Jane. They consider her apart of our family. Nothing could make us happier. -LH Parent
"We found Jane, who came very highly recommended, and began lessons twice a week. The change in our daughter over the past three years has been miraculous. Jane has taught our daughter the essential skills she needs to be successful at reading and writing. It will always be a challenge for her, but after (working with Jane), our daughter scored in the top quartile on the state-wide writing assessment. ...If you have found Jane Gramenz, consider yourself fortunate. We give her our highest recommendation.
Dr. R.K., Parent I have had the rare opportunity to observe Jane in action as she tutors. I can honestly say she is amazing. I taught Kindergarten for over 30 years and helped teach many children to read. However, normal classroom teachers receive little to no training regarding dyslexia. Until I met Jane, I had no idea about the amazing program or the special techniques she uses with these kids. Jane is extremely well read in her subject. She is truly passionate and determined to help dyslexic kids learn to read and help them feel confident about their skills and abilities. She is thoroughly prepared and organized for each lesson and develops an excellent rapport with her students. She makes work seem fun and interesting to them. You can tell she loves her students as much as they love her. I’ve never seen a better teacher!

Ms. Jane has been a true blessing to our family. Our son loved learning until first grade when we saw a drastic and concerning change in him. He started to get very stressed and anxious about school; especially with reading. The teachers told us to not worry and to just give him time. However, time was not the answer. Fortunately, Jane was working at our school and I spoke with her about our concerns. She knew immediately what to do and how to have him evaluated. She was such a support and provided expert advice on how to help our child. Eventually we received an official diagnosis of dyslexia and Jane was able to start tutoring him. Our son LOVES Ms. Jane and is now starting to love reading and learning again. I honestly feel she has saved my child.
Michelle P. Parent ...it was all new, I felt like a sponge-soaking as much up as I could. I am now excited to read more on the subject. I feel as if it is the "missing link" when it comes to learning for some children. I am so grateful for opening the door Jane! I am relieved to know there is a process where by a child can have a chance for success." (Teacher) THANK YOU FOR TUTORING ME. IT HAS MADE SCHOOLWORK AND READING MUCH EASIER. YOU MAKE LEARNING FUN AND YOU ARE VERY FUNNY. HOPE TO SEE YOU… THIS SUMMER! –FORMER STUDENT/CLIENT
I was really impressed with the way you redirected her...you are so patient, that would drive me crazy!(Parent/client for screening) I am so interested in current science of the brain and its application to educators. Your specialized training can make a difference in the lives of teachers and children. Thank you. Gloria Rice, Buttercup Hill Pre-School and Kindergarten Lead Teacher and Owner JANE, I WANTED TO SEND YOU A NOTE TO TELL YOU HOW AMAZING OF A PRESENTATION THAT I THOUGHT YOU DID FOR OUR SCHOOL THE OTHER DAY. NOT ONLY HAS THE INFORMATION THAT YOU PRESENTED BEEN THE BUZZ AROUND SCHOOL, BUT ALSO HAS BEEN THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU PRESENTED IT. I CAN SO CLEARLY PICTURE YOU WORKING WITH KIDS, AND THINK THAT YOU HAVE SUCH A BLESSING AND GIFT OF HELPING THESE CHILDREN AND THE LIVES THAT THEY WILL LEAD OUT. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE INFORMATION GAINED FOR MY STUDENTS, SELF, AND MY OWN KIDS. YOU REALLY DID AN AMAZING JOB. THANKS SO MUCH! K.B. (TEACHER) You opened my eyes to new options for learning, especially for children who struggle to organize their way of thinking. B.B (Teacher) |
“I just want to do tutoring all day,” is what I hear after every tutoring session from my eight year old daughter. I don’t think there is a more ringing endorsement than that. Audrey would not be where she is today with her reading and writing if it were not for Ms. Jane. Learning that your child has dyslexia can be scary and overwhelming, but Ms. Jane has helped us to navigate this very difficult journey with confidence rather than fear. Ms. Jane researched and recommended the best neuropsychologist for our daughter, advocated for us at multiple school IEP meetings and provided us with information and techniques to better help our daughter learn and grow. She focuses on Dyslexia tutoring, but goes above and beyond by looking at all of her educational needs and suggests multiple resources to help Audrey in all areas of study. I truly don’t know what we would do without her. Ms. Jane goes above and beyond during every session to make learning fun, while maximizing the developmental progress made. I appreciate her systematic, multisensory approach and I see Audrey gaining not only valuable skills, but confidence as well. I wish every child with dyslexia could experience the level of caring and expertise that Ms. Jane provides. Our family will remain grateful for Ms. Jane’s thoughtful care and friendship.
S.F. (Parent) Jane Gramenz is the most thorough, well-trained tutor we have worked with. As parents of five children and one who has dyslexia, we have extensive experience working with tutors. Ms. Gramenz has been working with our seven year-old since his initial diagnosis at age five and he is now a fluent reader, acquiring skills that are well above and beyond anything we could have anticipated. We deliberately postponed a move to Chicago because we couldn’t risk losing the momentum we have with Ms. Gramenz. She is that good. Jennifer, Parent
" Jane, you are so sweet and passionate about what you do and it shows everyday. The amount of time you devote to kids and the community it wonderful. I wish everyone was as passionate about their work as you are. You are making such a difference in so many young people's lives. Thank you!"
