Ms. Jane does not provide temporary tutoring. Dyslexia intervention is a marathon, not a race.
She takes on clients who are committed to the program's duration, except for My Multiplication Magic, which can be completed over 12-15 weeks.
Another option is to find an experienced educational neuropsychologist to get the appropriate testing and receive an official medical diagnosis. (See AZ recommendations below)

- Ms. Jane offers Foundations in Sounds, a precursor to the Barton Reading & Spelling System, for students who are not yet ready for Barton and require additional support in phonemic awareness.
- At this time, Ms. Jane is meeting with clients only online using the fabulous platform Koala Go. Click here to see information about this service. KoalaGo is appropriate for all ages! Some components appeal to kids and teens, but the platform is designed for all ages, even adults.
- Ms. Jane only schedules tutoring from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm AZ time (AZ does not observe daylight saving time). This does not mean she has any of those time slots available. Inquire below for available time slots.
- Ms. Jane can screen for dyslexia with a high degree of accuracy, but cannot give a medical diagnosis. While schools should accept this screening, especially with the passage of HB 2170, “Say Dyslexia,” some schools remain resistant to it.
- Key details of HB 2170 (2025):
- IEP Requirement: If a student is found to need special education services due to a specific learning disability, the IEP team must indicate if a dyslexia diagnosis exists.
- Purpose: The bill is designed to ensure that dyslexia is specifically identified in the IEP, enabling parents to better advocate for appropriate services and support.
- Scope: The law applies to all school districts and charter schools in Arizona. (IDA Arizona)
- IEP Requirement: If a student is found to need special education services due to a specific learning disability, the IEP team must indicate if a dyslexia diagnosis exists.
- However, some schools do accept her very thorough screening report as evidence for meeting the criteria for an IEP, but there is no guarantee. Screenings must be in person to ensure test score validity.
